Job TitleSoftware Development Engineer, Systems IntegrationLocationAlabama - Huntsville - Huntsville, AL 35802 USJob Description:Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems / Software Engineer to bridge the requirements management gap between software applications, DVE hardware, integration, and test activities to meet development and fielding requirements.Key Responsibilities:Software Engineering in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements management and traceability, design, coding, integration, testing, and maintenance.Collaborate with the engineering team to design and architect software systems, making well-informed decisions on technology stack, architecture, and best practices.Develop software and hardware requirements for inclusion in statements of work and/or technical instructions.Identify and address technical challenges, troubleshoot, and debug issues, and find creative solutions to complex problems.Participate in documentation reviews, provide constructive feedback, and help maintain documentation quality and standards.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5-10 years of work in a technical field related to system/software design.Proven experience in software development and engineering.Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies.Understanding of Army software practices and impacts as they apply to system requirements documentation and integration onto hardware.Strong communication skills are required to effectively communicate at all levels, to include platform and requirements representatives, Industry, and Other Government Agencies.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Desired Skills:Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and SysML/UML.Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).Experience with the design, verification, and qualification of Army aviation systems.U.S. Citizenship Required for this Position:
