AI Architect/Principal Engineer

Position Overview:

The AI Architect/Principal Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing AI and machine learning systems that solve complex problems and create value for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of AI technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Solutions Architect: Design and architect scalable and efficient AI systems, including machine learning models, neural networks, and data processing pipelines.

Data Management: Oversee the collection, preprocessing, and management of large, distributed datasets as input for AI models.

Model Development: Build, train, and evaluate advanced machine learning models using a variety of algorithms and techniques.

Software Development: 3+ years of software engineering experience, with strong skills in scripting (e.g., Python) and high-performance programming (e.g., C++). Experience coding in alternative architectures (e.g., GPUs, FPGAs).

Performance Optimization: Fine-tune models and algorithms to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Monitor and address issues related to performance and model drift.

Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest AI research and technologies. Identify opportunities for integrating innovative solutions into our products and services.

Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that AI systems are designed and implemented in accordance with ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Education: Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with a strong portfolio of successful projects.

Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++.

Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, YOLO, OpenCV, autoencoders & Scikit-learn).

Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks (supervised and semi/un-supervised learning techniques), and statistical methods.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Lead a team of AI software engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with deep learning techniques and architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), NLP is a plus.

Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices, with a strong emphasis on XAI tool development.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for deploying and monitoring AI models.
