TCAD Applications Engineer

Silvaco is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and has a global presence with offices located in North America, Europe, Brazil, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan.JOB SUMMARYUses technical knowledge of product offerings to advise and support sales teams with pricing estimates and implementation guidance based on customer requirements. Analyzes customer's technical specifications, recommends the best product configuration and installation process, and estimates implementation effort, time, and resources. Reviews sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Drafts technical white papers that help people better understand the technology behind them, and assists in providing instructions that help the client better understand the nature and applications of a specific product. Collaborates with implementation teams to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions or deliver customer training.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to:Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support for TCAD tools in China.Support customers in TCAD process and device simulation, solve customers’ problems, understand and master the manufacturing process, working principle, and corresponding physical mechanism.Support sales in pre-sales and after-sales technical speeches, customer training, technical problem support, improve customer satisfaction, and establish good relationships.Work with the R&D team to explore customers' new technical needs, and test and verify the new functions of Silvaco tools.Discover new projects or new customers from a technology point of view, discussing with customers on their application, proposing Silvaco solutions to best-fit customer requirements.Work with the sales team to achieve high customer satisfaction and build strong customer relationships.Manage multiple customer issues concurrently, debug and analyze technical issues effectively.Work with the R&D team to enhance the advantage of Silvaco tools to fast respond to customer’s new technical requirements.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCEMaster's degree or above in microelectronics, physics, or materials.A minimum of 5+ years of basic knowledge of semiconductor physics and device physics. Project experience in device physics analysis is preferred.Familiar with device simulation related processes. Familiarity with TCAD device process simulation tools is preferred.Good communication skills and teamwork; ability to work independently, analyze, and solve problems. Proficient in Chinese and English reading, writing, and speaking skills.Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes. Tape-out experience is preferred.Programming experience is a plus.Experience in Synthesis, P&R is a plus.Experience working as an application engineer, customer-oriented, and curious.Good level in written and spoken English.Experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.Experience in international and remote team building preferred.
