We are looking for a Helpdesk IS/IT Specialist Level 1 to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).
This role is 100% onsite.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting on the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and systems for IT projects, using current technologies and software.
Utilizes structured system development lifecycle processes for planning, managing, and documenting project activities.
Provides general Information Technology consulting and expertise.
Designs, installs, configures, and maintains network systems including associated servers, network communications devices (routers, hubs, switches, etc), operating systems, and client hardware and applications.
Clearance Level:
Secret clearance
Certifications (IAT Level II):
One of the following:
Security+ CE
GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist
Required Skills:
A Bachelor’s degree and/or five years of experience in helpdesk.
