We are seeking an experienced, full time Electrical Power Systems Analyst to develop new, or modify existing power distribution systems for protection and coordination using SKM software. This position will be based in our Electrical Engineering Department. This position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe, AZ office. This job is not remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:Acquire data for creation/revision of facility electrical power study models.Create new and modify existing electrical distribution systems in SKM and perform power system calculations and studies, including short circuit analysis, equipment evaluation, equipment coordination, and arc flash evaluation.Generate power system studies and reports.Create Arc Flash labels for field equipment.Witness field protective device settings with Owner/Contractor for final signoff.

Requirements

Skills and Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Proficient with data gathering and modeling of electrical systems in SKM Analysis software for power system studies a must.Proficient and experienced in creating SKM power system models, power system studies, and reports.Certificates from completing SKM-provided training classes is a plus.Strong ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision and report on activities to the Project Manager on a regular and consistent basis.Experience in the water/wastewater industry is a plus.Good working knowledge of NFPA 70E.
