You will play a fundamental role in upholding Plastipak’s standard of excellence and exceeding customer expectations through product development and innovation.You WillEvaluate product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements and related specificationsUphold ISO compliance and maintain quality and safety programs, ensuring applicable programs are sustainable and effective (i.e. GMP, OSHA, HACCP, etc.)Govern Quality Control through internal and external audits, data analysis and reportingRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product qualityAct as a liaison between Corporate Quality, Marketing/Sales, Design Engineering, Production & CustomersLead product and tooling testing through development stages; establish testing protocols for production to maximize product reliability and minimize costPartner with manufacturing plants to transfer Quality Control data and knowledge during new product launchesManage a team of one Quality Engineer and one Quality TechnicianServe as a member of the Site Steering Committee, comprised of the site functional leadersYou HaveBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (packaging or plastics preferred)Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment;
product development experience highly preferredMinimum of two (2) years of leadership experience, managing a teamFunctional knowledge of statistical process controls and manufacturing operationsProficiency with statistical software application, such as MinitabDemonstrated communication and interpersonal skills at the level appropriate to represent Plastipak to customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and executivesPlastipak is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
