We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX.Senior Architect - FLRAA ProgramBell is seeking a Senior Architect to join the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft reporting to the Chief Engineer for Mission Systems and Avionics. The individual will support the development of Bell’s next generation vertical lift system for the US Army.They will be responsible for providing thought leadership on operations analysis, modular open system approach, and system validation to the program through the design, verification, and sustainment life cycle.The individual will lead Bell’s integration of a broad systems integration approach towards design and verification for major vertical lift programs.What you’ll be doing as a Senior Manager, IPT Engineering:Evaluate mission effectiveness of products in a System of Systems environment and design simulations to study impacts of different mission system and vehicle architectures.Maintain involvement with architecture implementation through design, integration, and flight test.Conduct architecture trades/analyses and create model-based architecture artifacts. Span of architecture includes command and control, communication, navigation systems, sensing, effects, display interactions, general mission computing, and emphasizes digital backbone development, and may also be applied to vehicle-level and fleet-level architectures and requirements.Lead/support all phases of development from objective architecture, system architecture, system development and integration testing.Lead development of architectures and related artifacts utilizing SysML.Lead system trades, modeling, simulation, and analysis to assess architecture alternatives for delivering a customer mission effect, data or capability.Creation of system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test plans/procedures.Understand and communicate operational mission capabilities, use cases, and requirements to engineering teams.Skills You Bring To this Role:Aircraft system architect with demonstrated architecture development experience.Experience in operational analysis for aircraft and mission systems.Experience working across program and/or organizational teams.Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills and excellent planning and organizational skills.Experience leading development and customer teams through milestone and technical reviews.Working knowledge of the following open standards:FACE, HOST, DO-297/IMA, ARINC 653, ARINC 615A, ARINC-661, IEEE Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), CAN, MIL-STD 1553 and ARINC 429.Understanding CONOPs for vertical lift weapon systems and related Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE).What you need to be successful:We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.At least 15 years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering.The ability to gain and maintain a US Gov Security Clearance.What we offer you in return:You’ll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule.80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO).120 hours Vacation time.12-13 paid holidays per year.6 weeks parental leave.On-site clinic, pharmacy, physical therapy, and licensed counselor.Access to more than 11 Employee Resource Groups.And so much more.It’s time to make your mark on the future of aviation.
