Role Description:We are seeking experienced IT Technicians to provide onsite support in Dallas, Texas, at our clients’ locations.
The ideal candidates will have at least five years of hands-on experience in IT support, with expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure components. This hybrid position, based in Dallas, involves both remote and on-site work to ensure seamless IT operations for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver onsite technical support for servers, networking equipment, and end-user devices.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and manage Windows and Linux server environments.
Administer Active Directory and manage network permissions effectively.
Set up and maintain networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
Perform routine maintenance of network infrastructure, including patching, updates, and backups.
Ensure uptime and optimal performance of critical systems through proactive monitoring.
Act as an escalation point for technical support involving desktop and peripheral configuration and troubleshooting.
Collaborate on IT infrastructure projects, including installations, upgrades, and migrations.
Implement and maintain robust security measures and best practices, including antivirus software, firewalls, and network access control.
Create and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including system configurations and network diagrams.
Work closely with remote support teams to address and resolve complex technical issues.
Adhere to internal and external compliance standards for IT operations and security.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or a related role.
Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.
Advanced knowledge of network management, including VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols.
Practical experience with server virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
In-depth understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
IT certifications such as Security +, Network+, or equivalent vendor certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWALL, etc.), Microsoft platforms certifications, VMWare certifications, and others as applicable.
