Come build your career with BAE Systems.In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you’ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.You will be an active member of the Software Engineering leadership team, shaping the culture and process while ensuring the staffing and technical needs of the business are met. You will work with our programs using your technical skills and experience to ensure the design, implementation, and sustainment of our software solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. You'll manage a group of 10 to 15 software engineers at our New Hampshire locations, providing them with technical mentoring, career guidance and performance feedback. You’ll work closely with other product area leads in helping to set the technical direction for our products. In addition, you will work with peers at locations across the country to drive the craft of software engineering forward across the business.Technical roles will include architecture and design reviews, strategic initiative implementation, bid and proposal development, software project leadership, next generation solution planning and other areas of engagement that align with your skills and career aspirations.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsActive Secret clearance requiredBS degree in a STEM field and 12+ years work experience or equivalent experience in the development of complex software intensive systemsExperience in leading software teams in either a functional and/or technical roleDemonstrated ability to guide individuals through complicated or difficult situations effectively and professionallyExperience presenting to technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsEmbedded software design and implementationSoftware Defined Radios, Communication protocols, encryption, Digital Signal ProcessingFoundational knowledge with DevSecOpsDeep knowledge in one or more of the following languages C++, Rust, CEmbedded Linux Development experienceModel Based Engineering methods and toolsCost Account Management/Earned Value ManagementCloud Native Technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, HelmPrior experience with the use of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, INTEGRITY, FreeRTOS, etc.Knowledge of open standards such as the Software Communications Architecture (SCA), Open Mission Systems (OMS), Big Iron, Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE), Vehicle Integration for C4ISR/EW Interoperability (VICTORY), C4ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) and Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA)Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
