Security Analyst 4) position at HII Mission Technologies is a vital role within the C5ISR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the security of computer information systems, ensuring they are protected from potential threats and vulnerabilities. This position supports critical missions at Fort Meade, MD, and involves advanced evaluation of network infrastructures and system vulnerabilities.The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in information security and should also be familiar with counterintelligence (CI), and human intelligence (HUMINT) operations, and a deep understanding of Operations Security (OPSEC) to ensure that sensitive operations remain protected in global contexts.Responsibilities

Design, test, and implement state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products.Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for application design, incorporating both technical and operational security measures.Engage in a wide range of security issues including architecture, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.Utilize encryption technologies, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis to assess system and network security.Conduct comprehensive evaluations of network infrastructure and systems to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats, with a focus on ensuring the protection of CI/HUMINT virtualized operations.Develop and implement vulnerability assessment methodologies and tools for thorough and accurate evaluations.Analyze security breaches and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to develop and deploy effective security measures and countermeasures.Provide detailed reports, presentations, and briefings on findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.Monitor and assess emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors to inform proactive defense strategies for protecting both cybersecurity assets.Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the overall cybersecurity posture, ensuring OPSEC is integrated throughout.Conduct penetration testing and simulated attacks to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement.Provide subject matter expertise on network security and system vulnerabilities.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in the conduct of security assessments and analysis activities.Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline); 7 years relevant experience with a Master's degree; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate; or High School Diploma and 13 years relevant experience.At least 9 years working in virtual counterintelligence (CI) operations and supporting federal defensive cybersecurity operations AND/ORAt least 9 years of familiarity with virtual social media platforms in support of national mission objectives and goals.9 years of experience in network security, vulnerability assessment, or a related field.Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and system vulnerabilities.Proficiency in using one or more of the following security assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit, Wireshark, Kali Linux).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Active TS/SCI security clearance required; CI Poly desired or must be willing to submit to and successfully pass Polygraph examination.Preferred Requirements

Experience actively engaged in virtual CI/HUMINT operations and technical support measures.Master’s Degree in a related field.Experience working directly with military personnel and understanding of military culture.Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, procedures, and organizational structure.Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity technologies and their potential applications in defense operations.DoD cybersecurity coursework and certifications demonstrating comfort with databases, technologies, and methods of support to virtual operations.Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (current and active).Career based in HUMINT and Cyber operations.Physical Requirements

This position may require occasional travel to various DoD locations and facilities.Ability to work in a secure, classified environment as needed.
