Responsible for expanding and optimizing data pipeline and product architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. Build data systems from the ground up. Support software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. Optimize and re-design our company’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives. Accountable for building small or medium scale pipeline and data products. End-to-End solution delivery involving multiple platforms and technologies with small to medium complexity or certain sub-systems of large, complex implementations, leveraging ETL solutions to acquire, integrate, and operationalize data. Build and implement capabilities for continuous integration and continuous delivery aligned with Enterprise DevOps practices. Independently review, prepare, design and integrate complex (type, quality, volume) data, correcting problems and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions to issues. Document technical requirements and present complex technical concepts to audiences of varying size and level. Rapidly architect, design, prototype/POC, implement, and optimize Cloud/Hybrid architectures. Research, experiment, and utilize leading big data methodologies (AWS, Python-PySpark, Hadoop/EMR, Snowflake, Oracle DB, Talend, Informatica ETL, Kafka) with cloud/on premise hybrid hosting solutions, on a project level. Implement, and test data processing pipelines, and data mining/data science algorithms on a variety of hosted settings (AWS, Client technology stacks). Stay up to date on emerging data and analytics technologies, tools, techniques, and frameworks. Evaluate, recommend, and influence all technology-based decisions for tools and frameworks for effective delivery. Support the development and implementation of project and portfolio strategy, roadmaps and implementations.Qualifications:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Data Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or any occupation in which the required experience was gained. In addition, position requires experience in the following: Software development or data engineering experience; Best practices in Programming, SDLC practices, Distributed systems, Data warehousing solutions SQL or NoSQL, ETL tools (such as Informatica or Talend), CICD, Bigdata, Cloud Technologies (AWS or AZURE), Python/PySpark, and Data Lake; developing and operating production workloads in cloud infrastructure; Iterative deployment Agile practice; and Software development life cycle (SDLC) and knowledge of agile/iterative methodologies and toolsets.Salary Range:
$140,067.00 - $184,920.00 per YEARContact:

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees.
