AWS Cloud Computing Engineer
to join the SAIC Cloud One Operations and IL 6 team. This candidate will be part of a team responsible for the architecture design/planning, management, support, and oversight of the Cloud One AWS environments. The candidate will be supporting the Cloud One Common Computing Environment (CCE) program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data that will serve the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Army (USA). Cloud One incorporates the capabilities of commercial cloud and Managed Service Providers (MSP) residing in Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). Cloud One facilitates the USAF and USA’s efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF and USA's IT operations.
This position will be onsite in a DoD approved SIPRnet facility; Montgomery, AL at Gunter AFB; Bedford, MA at Hanscom AFB; Charleston S.C. or any approved site.Job Responsibilities:Deploy, sustain, maintain AWS environments and topologiesManage and maintain Microsoft AD, ADFS, WAPs, and WSUSManage and maintain Artifactory and ACASDeploy Hybrid AWS AD environmentsHandle AWS security and monitoring solutions implementation, including automated responsesTools and Automation (scripting – Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible, Terraform, Cloud Formation templates)Develop and maintain IaC codebaseConfigure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systemsProactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficienciesProvide technical assistance and training to usersQualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree and two (2) plus years' experience in an AWS working environmentAdditional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degreeRequired Clearance:Interim Secret Clearance required to start with the Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment or any higher level DoD clearance acceptedUS citizenship requiredRequired Certification:Security + CertificationRequired Skills:In depth understanding of and experience with, deployments of various systems to AWS utilizing both Cloud and nonnative servicesApplicant should be comfortable talking about all aspects and features of AWSAbility to interact with high level customers and involved in collaboration, design, implementation, and involvement of project planningDesired Skills:Experience supporting software migration effortsExperience in an IT company highly desirableSIPR facility access and/or previous SIPR experienceSome of the core components included, but not limited to are; EC2, Containers (ECS, Fargate, EKS), Network (Subnetting, Route Tables, SG's, VPC, VPC Peering, NACLS, VPN).
