This position is dedicated to cultivating data consistency, accuracy, and completeness within the parameters of established data standards. A pivotal responsibility involves overseeing all end-to-end data and data migrations processes through the ERP (enterprise resource planning) system. Functioning as the subject matter expert, the Data Governance Manager defines the scope and priorities for developing, deploying, and refining data management standards, policies, and processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams, information technology (IT) professionals, and key stakeholders. The overarching goal is to elevate the quality of the organization's data, aligning with industry-leading practices to support comprehensive business objectives.Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and implements a comprehensive data governance and management framework aligned with industry best practices and organizational goals.Establishes policies and procedures for activities related to data archiving within different systems.Guides the data team in extracting, mapping, and loading master and transactional data sets from multiple sources into the ERP system.Manages end-to-end data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and migration processes.Identifies data issues impacting internal/external customers or business processes.Formulates a unified view of core data elements, ensuring consistency and quality before integration with other systems.Monitors progress, identifies areas for improvement, and proposes corrective actions as needed.Develops robust Go-Live data migration plans, integrating risk assessment and mitigation strategies for a seamless transition.Supports design workshops for data migrations, gathering business data requirements and value stream mappings.Collaborates with data analysts and business leads to facilitate data-driven decision-making.Leads data workshops, covering industry best practices, data modeling, and migration plans.Cultivates and communicates a long-term data strategy aligning with overall business objectives, understanding departmental data needs.Designs and maintains data models defining structure, relationships, and integrity using entity-relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries.Implements data governance policies and procedures for data quality, consistency, security, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.Distinguishes and mobilizes resources for data governance roles, supporting the setup of a data governance structure, especially in the S/4 HANA cloud environment.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
