School Library Systems Specialist (Information Processing Specialist)
Capital Region BOCES provides both educational programs and educational support services, including an extensive IT division (NERIC) that serves over 150 school districts locally and statewide. If you are eager to make a meaningful impact in education and help shape the future of library services, this position is perfect for you.What you will do:Your day will be busy supporting participating school districts within our school library system, which includes maintaining and updating school library catalog records, importing patron user information, providing technical support, and building reports for our school libraries.You will be a cataloging liaison for our districts as they use the automation system to effectively run a school library program.You will thrive as part of a busy, collaborative team whose primary goal is to provide access and support for top-notch library services, and to better serve our students on their path to success.Why this is a great job:You will feel a sense of satisfaction knowing your contributions directly improve the efficiency of the school districts we support.
