About this Organization
This Systems Engineering team directly impacts the GE Aerospace mission by driving the holistic strategic plan for the Engine Level Model including closure on safety issues, engine configuration, airframe integration requirements aligned to customer airworthiness qualification, maintenance plan, field investigation and test objectives, sustaining product & growth strategies, while inventing next generation engine platforms through sustainable technology insertions.
About this Position
This specific role is in support of the Evendale Defense Combat Propulsion team supporting customer repair/development efforts. In this role, you will partner with repair, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure product conformance to technical requirements to achieve customer satisfaction and ensure hardware safety and durability.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Job DescriptionRoles & Responsibilities
Development of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, industrialization. Related program deliverables to repair facilities for new and updated processes.Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.Leverage expertise to resolve problems in the field or during the manufacturing processes.Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools.Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company.Function as program manager when appropriate.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.Develop and implement training modules as necessary.This role involves repairs of export controlled technology (LR).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college.Minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant engineering position.

Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Demonstrated leadership in advancing the state of the art in a technical specialty.
