Who we are looking forState Street is embarking on a multi-year program to modernize the payment initiation experience of clients. In order to augment the team, we are looking for a senior engineering lead who has had experience developing and deploying highly performant web-based applications and REST service end-points on cloud infrastructure.

Due to the role requirements, this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible forAs Vice President - Software Engineering Lead, you will:

Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure as Code and Cloud Native Application Development.Lead the Application Architecture, Design & Development activities.Manage cross-functional engineering teams.Drive prioritization of technical investment on in-scope platforms.Design performant, efficient, effective, and reusable technical solutions (partnering with architecture).Manage projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.Partner effectively with DevOps, Production Support, and peer platform teams.Review/Pickup stories, code reviews, and support production platforms.Hire, train, and develop team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality software solutions.End-to-end platform owner and engineer: design, build, and support resilient services/solutions.Partner with business owners to define platform roadmaps and scope for initiatives/features.Lead Migration of legacy platforms to cutting-edge cloud-based services.Experience in DBs like Oracle, PostgreSQL, migration, and analysis activities.Design and implement cross-tool integrations.What we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this role:

Experience in any legacy modernization and transformation.Should have expert knowledge in Java/J2EE technology with expertise in Microservices architecture, service mesh, design, and integration patterns.Experience in Application CI/CD pipeline and automation.Experience in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, VMC on AWS.Experience with IaC or Terraform.

Education & Preferred QualificationsDegree in Computer Science or related field.At least 10 years of experience working with J2EE and web-based applications with Oracle or any other relational database. Experience developing REST-based web services.Experience migrating applications to AWS/Azure cloud platforms.AWS or Azure certifications highly preferred.

Salary Range:$110,000 - $185,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.#J-18808-Ljbffr
