Job Description/ Essential Functions:Codes and tests web applications as well as maintains, supports, and upgrades existing web applications.Designs and enhances relational databases with a working knowledge of T-SQL, creating stored procedures, views, user defined functions, triggers, tables, etc.Development and/or support of service-oriented APIs.Troubleshoots and researches to resolve bugs and failures.Adheres to our SDLC policies including the use of JIRA/Bitbucket.Creative problem-solving abilities needed in approaching developmental tasks.Works effectively with members from different departments and closely with the team to meet development deadlines.Ability to effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications and production-ready solutions.Occasional travel for training, meetings, or trade shows may be required.Available to work outside normal business hours for catastrophic events as it pertains to the business.Design and implement complex application changes spanning the entire development stack.Participate in training and cross-training of other staff.Education:College Degree in relevant field, technical certifications, or relevant experience.3+ Years MS SQL Server development with query optimization techniques.3+ Years TSQL/Stored Procedure Development.1+ Years SSRS / Power BI (or similar) report creation.Familiarity with OOP programming methodologies.3-5 Years Azure development is a plus.Experience/ Skills:Ability to work effectively in a team with little supervision and strong attention to detail.Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Ability to successfully architect and develop projects of small and medium complexity.Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance is a plus.EEOC Compliance:We are an equal opportunity employer and provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
