Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for all aspects of cash application, including payment application, analysis, and deposits, as well as supporting collection efforts and other duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Application

Work within ERP to post customer payments via Lockbox, Credit cards, wires, and ACH in an accurate and timely manner.

Posting and depositing miscellaneous cash receipts.

Monitor payments posted to customers’ accounts for accuracy.

Scan and save all electronic and store deposit batches for future reference and legal requirements.

Customer Relations

Answer communications both internal and external about Accounts Receivable.

Analyze and research any issues surrounding customer payments.

Work with internal customers (Location Managers) to ensure timely and accurate cash drawer postings.

Lockbox Payments

Responsible for downloading daily Lockbox transactions and reports from the bank.

Process lockbox by verifying bank website data to the system.

Scan received checks in the mail to the Lockbox daily.

Run reports and research unapplied cash receipts.

Research

Review transaction disputes to ensure chargebacks are accurate.

Research payments that are received with no payment details.

Research over payments, short payments, and skipped payments.

Accounts Receivable Support

Support other AR team members and accounting/administration personnel as needed.

Partner with the team and management by quickly bringing issues to their attention, working to understand the root cause, and offering potential solutions.

Reconcile Cash Drawer Accounts.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

2 Year Accounting Degree Preferred.

3+ Years of Cash Application Experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in MS Excel.

Notary Designation a plus (Company Will Pay for this Certification).

Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment.

Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills.

Must Be Able to Provide 3 Professional References from Previous Employment.

Working Conditions:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

This position requires but is not limited to lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, listening, and speaking with internal and external clients.
