Position: Project Engineer
Location/s: Richmond, VA
Duration: Full time, Direct Hire
Shift: Night Shift (Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM)
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 Annually

Main function of job:
Manages new product development including applications, detail design, and project engineering.
Duties/Responsibilities
Applications Engineering
Design Engineering
Project Engineering
Applications Engineering
Collaborate with sales and customers to gather application data and assess feasibility.
Provide cost and lead time estimations for bids.
Perform detailed analyses to ensure designs meet performance targets.
Design Engineering
Maintain engineering documentation per our AS9100-certified Quality Procedures.
Produce detailed drawing packages, including customer approval and manufacturing drawings.
Assist in creating work instructions and additional manufacturing procedures.
Project Engineering:
Facilitate the transition of projects to procurement and production.
Guide components through production to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Manage project timelines and devise qualification test plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (other engineering degrees considered).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
A practical approach to engineering challenges and a high mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD.
