Job SummaryThe

Sr. Program Manager

will manage New Product Development (NPD) programs and develop and deploy business infrastructure programs from inception to launch. They will coordinate the efforts of engineering, product management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring the project and continuously evaluating changes to the product cost, schedule, and resources.

The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects over cross-functional groups, directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives. This role involves building credibility, establishing rapport, and maintaining communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. Additional responsibilities include maintaining continuous alignment of program scope with business objectives and making recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness. The Sr. Program Manager is also responsible for determining and coordinating the sharing of resources among their cross-functional team projects to the overall benefit of the program.

This position will be based onsite at our Westerville, OH location.

Responsibilities :

Ensure services line of business deliverables and tollgate signoff are aligned with the global NPD process.

Collaborate with appropriate LOB leads to streamline service deliverables and requirements.

Set up a process to ensure Service LOB participation in requirement gathering for Marketing Requirement Specification (MRS) and Engineering Requirements Specification (ERS) for new products and metrics.

Lead development of Smartsheet project for individual NPD project management and reporting. Set up project dashboard and metrics.

Liaise with the regions to ensure the successful launch of service mobile tools and forms.

Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic ways of using tools to improve operations.

Review project status and deliverables in preparation for the tollgate reviews.

Establish monthly project review meetings with executive and service LOB leaders.

Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors.

Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path.

Develop and track metrics to report new product escapes.

Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost.

Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip.

Identify key risks and have a contingency plan.

Work with management of different operating functions to identify and obtain required resources to adequately staff projects.

Communicate with other managers, upper management, or outside vendors and other plants, as required.

Provide training development and delivery of process.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) or in Business.

10+ years of work experience in Project or Program Management, product management, or engineering.

Certified PMP, Project Management Professional, or commitment to obtain.

Experience working with or leading international teams.

A broad-based general management background is essential. Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes and procedures is key. Knowledge of accounting, purchasing, and ERP/MRP is helpful.

The Program Manager may drive the program with no direct authority. It is therefore essential that she/he has good people skills and good communication skills, including running meetings and presentations.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented, global work environment.

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers to transfer knowledge.

Good facilitation skills; Attention to detail; Problem-solving attitude; Strong process orientation.

Ability to deliver amidst changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities.

Up to 20% Global travel.

Proficient with Smartsheet, PowerBI, and MS Office.

Preferred

:

Master of Science or MBA and 10-15 years of work experience in Project or Program Management, Product Management, or Engineering.

Experience with Single Phase UPS and KVM systems desired.

Six Sigma, LSS, or DFSS certification.
