Software Engineer – RF Systems
to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex sensor and radar oriented problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, providing responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. This position is within our Sensor Innovation Portfolio (SIP) and affords new or experienced engineers continued opportunities to learn and grow in technical knowledge of sensor and radar systems. The department encourages and frequently incorporates new ideas from all employees into our many sensor projects which span the entire DoD ecosystem. Opportunities for advancement into senior technical roles, as well as project or personnel management are also available.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport Advanced Technology Radar and EW programs including software for high-speed data acquisition, data distribution, and real-time signal processing; integration of COTS and custom technologies into prototype sensor systems; field testing of RF sensors and systems; and CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems.Assigned a variety of tasks related to the design and implementation of real-time prototype sensors. You will be exposed to a wide range of software and computer engineering technologies and will have the opportunity to learn from working directly alongside experienced engineers and have direct influence on multiple projects.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited school. In addition to 4-8 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.A strong demonstration of the skills listed below will also be considered.Excellent teamwork skills and possess and show good fundamentals in one or more of the following:Modern C++ developmentNVIDIA CUDA GPU development / optimizationVHDL/Verilog for FPGA developmentReal-time Linux and device driver developmentZeroMQ and/or other messaging frameworksQt GUI developmentBe able to apply these skills to the areas of radar and EW system development, implementation of digital signal processing and tracking algorithms, and field testing of sensor systems.Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.Must be a US citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a final Top-Secret clearance.Preferred QualificationsExperience of working with Matlab, understanding of signal processing fundamentals, such as sampling and Fourier analysis, and knowledge of collaboration and development tools such as GIT, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines are greatly valued.Original Posting Date:
