Sr. Solution Architect, D&T, SAP BODS

possesses in-depth knowledge and experience to work autonomously. The position is responsible for the overall design, development and implementation of SAP BODS Applications. The role is proficient in the areas of solution design, development, performance tuning and troubleshooting. Working in a global environment, this role has a hands-on approach capable of working across teams and time zones.This role must have hands-on experience in SAP BODS, build BODS queries and jobs, strong experience in Databases/SQL, data migration using BODS, SAP SLT and HANA. Experience in Agile development methodology for projects and enhancements is preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Possesses strong understanding of overall vision, business needs and the solution architecture for SAP BODS applications. Uses this in-depth knowledge to solve reasonably complex problems.Utilizes knowledge of best practices and acts as a SME to provide the technical solution design.Works closely with the process team to understand the business requirements, review the functional specs, develop technical specs, build the application, unit test the application and support the process team during integration testing.Designs and builds applications with best practices in mind.Investigates and corrects production issues.May be involved with supports and training other team members.Other duties as assigned.Basic Qualification and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.5-8 years of relevant experience in the areas specified under Essential Duties and Responsibilities.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience gathering requirements and providing technical solution design.Strong SAP BODS design and development experience.Development experience with Advanced BODS Functionalities.Strong data-migration background with hands-on experience with data migration using SAP BODS.Quick understanding of existing functionality/rules/build BODS queries and jobs.Strong experience in Databases/SQL.Ability to build highly technical BODS jobs using multiple data sources/complicated business rules.High-level understanding of SAP modules.In-depth knowledge/understanding of SAP Master Data relevant tables/joins.High-level understanding of SAP transactional data/underlying tables/joins.Experience with data profiling/cleansing/de-duplication/summary reports.Strong experience in configuring SLT.Strong ETL transformation services experience, via SAP Landscape Transformation server (SLT) or SAP Data Services.Must have excellent analytical, logical problem-solving and technological skills.Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.Preferred Qualifications:Good knowledge of SAP business processes.Physical and Travel Requirements:Willing to work in shift from 12:00pm to 9:00pm.Office environment.10% of travel requirement.West is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
