committed to education and advancing medical science through research.Duties:To perform highly complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation across multiple platforms and/or cross-function in business areas.To perform process improvement and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.To develop innovative IT solutions for risky and demanding business situations.To function as a team leader and provide procedural and technical guidance to less experienced systems analysts.To function as a specialist in a particular aspect of systems analysis or as an integrator of analysis and design across technology platforms, business areas, or locations.To instruct and review the work of others.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provides 24x7x365 support of Enterprise Rhapsody Interface Engine(s), Cerner Open Engine/Open Port and system integration functions with all Health System systems. Ensures High Availability. Performs on-call duties.Coordinates the testing, validation on system upgrades and changes affecting interfaces directly and indirectly.Mentoring and support for lower level analysts, provides onboarding functions for new hires. Assists other IT groups as needed.Leads in the implementation process for outside software while also designing, coding and maintaining applications developed in-house. Provides recommendations on system integration techniques, provides guidance on workflow improvements, conducting design sessions, coordinating with data analysis and defining functional requirements.Assists other groups, develop and maintain real-time HL7, web services and batch interfaces between core clinical applications, patient registration and financial applications.Performs Rhapsody Engine software updates, administration, configuration, maintenance, error notifications and performance enhancements and tuning. Performs load, feature, functional testing and validation of all integration and interfaces for all systems.Supports and maintains EMPI users, integration, maintenance, person matching, reporting, auditing and troubleshooting.Works with internal and external customers such as Network, Server, Technical Support, Applications and Infrastructure teams to maintain a high availability computing environment. Maintains vendor and customer relationships.Attendance must be maintained at a higher than acceptable level. Must be available at any time to assist with issues, upgrades and on-call support.Performs the implementation and project management related to integration and interface related projects. Provides timelines and hours estimates for interface projects. Maintains vendor relationships.Provides documentation related to interface/integration code, data transformation and support.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and eight (8) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with vendors, customers, co-workers and management and be proficient with Microsoft Office.Must know the functions and importance of clinical and financial data in a Health System environment and understands the criticality and best practices of patient security and privacy (HIPAA/FERPA etc.).Must balance a self-motivated, independent work ethic with the desire to assist others and have the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a variety of tasks and activities in a timely and effective manner. Must have the ability to perform advanced project management planning and tasks.Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must possess the ability to verify and solve software shortcomings in addition to effective time management skills.Proficient in the use of SQL, PSQL, and other Oracle database tools such as Toad, SQLPlus, WinSQL, MS Access or equivalents.Experience with indexing tools such as e-Index, Aligndex, Initiate, Nextgate and or other EMPI or MDM product and systems.Proficient with other enterprise systems such as GE, McKesson and Cerner.Proficient with more than one enterprise interface engine such as e-Gate, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Mirth (Rhapsody/OE preferred).Proficient in the design, development, deployment and support of healthcare standard interfaces using HL7, FHIR, X12, XML, WS, HTTPS, IHE, Web Services and custom formats. Experience with FTP, SFTP, TCPIP and HTTPS protocols.Proficient with object-oriented programming, standardization and re-use. Proficient with Java, J2EE, Java Script, HTML, XML.Experience with UNIX (AIX), advanced knowledge of cron, shell scripting, process monitoring and troubleshooting.Experience with how interfaces and networks work together, public/private IP addressing, DNS, port use, VPN tunnels.Primary Location:
