Pharmacy Informatics Specialist – ITThis is your opportunity to provide world-class technology solutions that will directly impact the quality of a patient’s life. Joining our team will give you the opportunity to develop your career while creating solutions and services that will improve the welfare of others.The Pharmacy IT Specialist serves as the front-line point person to address Pharmacy IT needs, including daily troubleshooting, reporting and metrics, system maintenance, assisting with upgrades, implementations, etc. The Pharmacy IT Specialist will be involved with any projects or changes on the enterprise level and will need to be able to work collaboratively with pharmacy operations and other departments to find mutually acceptable ways to improve safety and efficiency. The Pharmacy IT Specialist supports the operational teams and staff as well as serves as a liaison to the hospital IT team. Utilize your strong information technology background and clinical knowledge to manage databases, interfacing between different systems, and standardizing medication builds across different sites.This is a full-time position, including on-call responsibilities. There will be weekly on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays.Preferred CriteriaPGY2 Residency in InformaticsStrong IT experienceRequired CriteriaPharm.D. Degree or equivalent BS Pharmacy and experienceLicensure as a Pharmacist by The State of New York (or reciprocity eligible)At least 3 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist or information technology professional or PGY1 or PGY2 Residency TrainingJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
