Position Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of full-stack development, as well as experience leading a small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of ad technology applications and services.About the team:Walmart's Advertising Technology group enables the connection between supplier brands and retail shoppers at unprecedented scale. We are a highly motivated group of engineers and data scientists, working in an agile group to solve sophisticated and high impact problems. We serve billions of ads requests every month with our high-performance ad servers.There are millions of customers shop on Walmart websites and in stores daily, and advertising helps advertisers bring the best products to our customers. If you want to influence millions of customers on their shopping journeys, we have a role for you.What you'll do:Solve complex software systems problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.Gain exposure to various emerging technologies used in Marketing and E-commerce platforms.Provide technical direction, architecture leadership and expertise to the team.Lead by example. Show your chops as an exceptional and experienced developer.Drive projects of high visibility across the organization.Participate in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project, product and business requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirement); designing robust and scalable architectures; writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery;What you'll bring:10+ years of experience designing and building scalable and reliable front-end and back-end services and applications, with experience in a tech-lead role.Strong full-stack development experience; front-end experience with JavaScript/ReactJS. Back-end experience developing RESTful APIs that use RDBMS or NoSQL storage systems.Strong expertise in development of scalable cloud native microservices, designing and building APIs.Strong expertise with Cloud Technologies like Azure and GCP.Strong expertise in Java and JavaScript.Extensive knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture.
