116035Zurich North America is currently hiring a Data Governance Quality Analyst to work in a hybrid schedule out of our North America HQ in Schaumburg, IL. This person will report to the VP of Data Governance in the Chief Data Office. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Governance Quality Analyst to join our Data Governance team. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, proficiency in SQL, and a deep understanding of data governance principles. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality, consistency, and security of our data assets.Responsibilities:Data Governance:Support establishing a catalog operating model aligned with a data governance operating model.Develop and deliver metadata standards recommendations.Assist in the development and enforcement of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.Collaborate with data stewards and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with data governance policies.Support data governance initiatives by providing expertise in data management and quality assurance.Data Analysis:Perform complex data analysis to support data governance initiatives.Perform data profiling and develop data quality rules to support the data quality management process.Data Quality Management:Monitor and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across various systems.Develop and implement data quality metrics and reporting mechanisms.Identify and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.Documentation and Communication:Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Document data governance processes, data quality guidelines, and best practices.Communicate data quality findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders on data governance topics.Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data governance and data quality.Propose and implement process improvements to enhance data governance and quality management.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Data Management area ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Data Management area ANDExperience with data interrogation/analysis techniques.Preferred Qualifications:Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Steward, or similar role with a focus on data quality and governance.Experience with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, etc.).Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.Insurance industry experience.Demonstrated ability to develop and manage data visualizations and business intelligence solutions with PowerBI.Location(s): AM - SchaumburgRemote Working: HybridSchedule: Full TimeEmployment Sponsorship Offered: Yes
