Job TitleSenior Editor, BridesJob DescriptionAbout the PositionThe Beauty, Style, and Entertainment group at Dotdash Meredith is seeking a full-time Senior Editor for Brides. We are looking for a digital-savvy candidate with experience writing and editing fashion, beauty, and general women’s lifestyle content. While previous wedding-specific experience is not required (but considered a major plus!), an interest in the content category is essential.In this role, you will report to the Associate Editorial Director of Brides and work closely with our Senior Editorial Director, Editor, Associate Editor, and social media team. You will be responsible for creating and/or editing two to three stories per day, managing a roster of freelance writers, and overseeing a portion of the editorial content budget as well as owning at least one tentpole project each year. You’ll work closely with the editorial team and our growth partners to update existing content using SEO best practices, assign, edit, and/or write new content, and contribute to big-picture projects. You may also assist with writing and/or editing celebrity news content as well as ad hoc editorial duties. Network with wedding industry professionals.The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job RequirementsEducation:
Bachelors’ degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience:
5+ years of editorial staff experience in digital media, ideally with a focus on general lifestyle content or weddings.Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:Strong writing, editing, and brainstorming skills.An understanding of SEO best practices and willingness to learn/implement the latest evergreen strategies.Previous experience in digital publishing tools like content management systems, as well as organizational and task management tools like Google Sheets, Airtable, Google Analytics, and SemRush.A strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.Previous experience or a vested interest in weddings-related content.% Travel Required (Approximate):

Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
