SummaryProvide advanced enterprise support for the network infrastructure. Coordinate and deliver system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements to existing infrastructure. Analyze business needs and support network solutions on multiple platforms in a LAN/WAN environment. Assists with network troubleshooting, maintenance, management, and upgrades as necessary. Serve as a technical escalation point for Network related issues and takes ownership until a satisfactory resolution is achievedAssume the duties and responsibilities of the IT Networks Manager when neededMake recommendations to IT network management on upgrades and/or hardware replacements to best secure the company infrastructureConfigure and administer all LAN, WAN, and Wireless Networking, including, but not limited to configuring, keeping up to date with the latest codes, software updates and patches, and signaturesApply security patches, updates/upgrades to network equipmentAssist IT Networks Manager with the overall strategy, design and implementation of the network infrastructureAssist IT Networks Manager as a subject matter expert in network infrastructureMaintain network topology diagramsMonitor systems alerts and logs on a daily basisParticipate in on-call support rotation for network-related issuesAssist with troubleshooting and resolution of I.T. crisis situationsAssist with conducting end-user training on networks as requestedServe as the team lead which includes mentoring, training, and assisting Network Engineers as requiredMaintain documentation for network equipment, tickets, tasks, and other related projectsProvide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standardsEnsure compliance with all applicable gaming, and federal, laws and regulations, company internal controls, policies and procedures as they apply to the positionPerform other duties as requested or assignedRequirements
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in a Network Administrator or Network Engineering roleExperience in a casino/hotel resort environment strongly preferredCCNA certification required, CCNP preferredWorking knowledge of a network server infrastructureWorking knowledge of Network and Storage Area NetworksFamiliarity with communication and routing protocols including OSPF and BGPPrevious experience with designing and deploying functional networks (LAN, WAN, VPN)Experience with NGFW appliances (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Meraki)Knowledge of deploying SD-WAN and other cloud-based technologiesWorking knowledge of configuring NPM tools such as SolarWindsAdvanced knowledge of Cisco IOS, Ruckus Fast Iron, Forti-OS, Pan-OSExcellent problem-solving, decision making and communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical usersPrevious experience working independently; prioritizing and planning workAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while effectively managing multiple prioritiesBachelor’s degree in computer science or information sciences from a four-year college or university, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredProficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio-including advanced diagram design)Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbalAbility to work after normal business hours as requiredReliable transportation and the ability to minimally travel is requiredMust be at least 21 years of ageObtain and maintain all work cards as required by the companyVerify right to work in the United StatesWork Cards
