CMM Programmer
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality systems, policies, procedures, and processes to ensure all company, regulatory, and industry requirements are complied with.
Essential Job Duties and Functions:Program and operate a CMM.Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials.Revise programs to maximize effectiveness & efficiency.Lead the identification and implementation of improvements to the Quality Management System.Support Change Management processes to ensure customer requirements are achieved.Provide QA support to the company bid and proposal process through review of customer furnished engineering and related data, and the development of quality & inspection plans.Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues.Perform product-ability assessments for part or produce designs.Provide product-ability input to design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.Facilitate training of Accurus employees on Quality Policies and Procedure, Inspection Techniques, etc.Perform other assigned tasks, as required, to support meeting business needs.
Essential Mental Functions and Skills:Good math skills to understand complex instructions.Demonstrate independent judgment and discretion in making decisions necessary to ensure on-time delivery.Attention to Detail.Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Ability to work in an unfatigued state.Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in one's short term memory.Ability to concentrate.
Physical Requirements:Sedentary work; sitting constantly; hand and finger dexterity; walking occasionally, lifting 25lbs or less occasionally.
Work Environment:Includes both a typical office and shop environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazards, or adverse environmental issues, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
Education/Experience:High school diploma/GED required.Four-year technical degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.Knowledge of various customer and industry standards and quality system requirements including AS9100, statistical process control (SPC), FAA requirements, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma is desired.Knowledge of problem-solving techniques, (i.e. Statistical Quality Control/Statistical Process-Control, etc.)Five to ten years of technical experience, of which at least two to three years should be in quality assurance.Three years of CMM programming experience in Camio.
