Manager, EMI-EMC , reporting to the
Director, RF Engineering , to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time,

position located in our
Long Beach
location.Responsibilities:Recruit and empower a diverse team of engineers to develop our approach to design & test for EMI and other in space environments such as plasma charging.Guide the development of EMI-EMC, in space charging, grounding & bonding requirements for Vast spacecraft.Guide the derivation and distribution of EMI & in space environmental requirements.Tailor industry standards for Vast spacecraft and missions.Ensure the EMI & Space Physics team meets project deadlines and company objectives.Foster a strong interdisciplinary relationship with other teams that rely on the EMI-EMC team to be successful.Exemplify a culture of excellence, extreme ownership, and safety. Enable engineers to take responsibility for the system level impact of their work.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related engineering discipline.5+ years of experience working in EMI/EMC.2+ years of experience in engineering leadership.Preferred Skills & Experience:Ms or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related engineering discipline.Experience in EMI/EMC, in space charging for spacecraft, triboelectrification, grounding & bonding.Prior experience in an electronics or electrical systems design role.Experience with software development in Matlab, Python, etc.Experience with digital communications standards such as Ethernet, RS-422, PCIe, GMII, etc.Deep understanding of electromagnetics, ionizing radiation, and plasma effects on spacecraft systems.Strong sense of accountability and integrity with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to teach people of a multitude of education and industry backgrounds about EMI-EMC.Salary Range:
$150,000 - $200,000 USDCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSBase salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package.
