Praescient Analytics is seeking a
Software Engineer
to join our team to support our intelligence customer in Herndon, VA. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum Team primarily focusing on building and maintaining containerized systems running in Kubernetes, however, will also participate in requirements gathering and assisting the Information Assurance team in maintaining security paperwork. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with CI Poly level clearance. This is a
100% on-site position.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement
4+ years’ experience with Java, 3+ years with Python and JavaScript, and 2+ years with shell scripts
5+ years building and maintaining systems running on Linux or other UNIX-like systems
2+ years working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams in deploying and troubleshooting container-based systems
TS/SCI with current CI poly clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing
2+ years’ experience with Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)
Experience with NiFi
Maintaining systems documentation
Experience with cross-domain systems
