Thus, through our enriching co-op program, we help develop the next-generation of engineers and technologists.Co-ops alternate between school and full-time work assignments each semester. You will develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. Each semester builds upon the foundational learning that prepares you for more advanced problem solutions. In this internship, you will support our Physics team on the Design Business Unit. This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting May 2025 and concluding Aug 2025.RESPONSIBILITIES- Work alongside software developers to design, implement, and debug.- Investigate defects in production code.- Engineer simulation features.- Develop UI toolkit components for internal and external customers.- Improve the efficiency and accuracy of ANSYS products.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Dedication to three (3) semester rotations for Engineers and two (2) semesters for Computer Science.- Pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the co-op program.- Exposure to C++, C#, Java or Python.- Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Exposure to object-oriented programming.- Previous coding experience.- Exposure to CAD and/or FEA.- Strong math skills or exposure to writing algorithms.INCLUSION IS AT OUR COREWe believe diverse thinking leads to better outcomes.
