OverviewAAC is seeking a Network Engineer to support a large enterprise IT contract for a government customer in North Carolina. This role is responsible for implementation, operations, and maintenance of technologies in an enterprise across multiple networks. Duties include updating to new technologies, tuning performance, and implementation of critical system patches. This infrastructure may include on-premises and cloud resources. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met for internal and external customers.
This role will be
fully onsite in Raleigh North Carolina
and will require the ability to obtain a Public Trust.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or related field. Four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree requirement established for this key personnel function.
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of agency wide-area networks (WANs) and local-area networks (LANs).
Experience assisting in the design and management of the WAN infrastructure and any processes related to the WAN.
Experience providing production support of the network, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client networks. Provides second level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
Experience supporting the dispatch of circuit and hardware vendors involved in the resolution process. Supports the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
