with the primary focus at reducing stranded capacity by being a key member of the local team in the deployment planning and optimization of the IT capacity, working closely with Electrical Engineers and Critical Environment Field Service Engineer.

Responsibilities

Be accountable to provide program governance, leadership, and direction for all projects

at the campus level to ensure projects are planned and executed on budget and schedule.

Support the Data Center Project Manager’s with project estimation, budget management, ROI calculations, formulate project delivery strategies

while establishing milestones and schedules.

Maintain and report project status, monitor progress, and act as an escalation point

ensuring achievement of intended outcomes.

Support the Campus Director with Field Employee communications

including townhalls, organizing listening sessions, and local campus level communications.

Liaise with the Data Center Operational Efficiencies team

to ensure campus level financial planning and performance reviews are conducted in accordance to the rhythm of business fiscal calendars and objectives.

Support the field operations leadership teams

to operationalize all strategic initiatives consistently and effectively at the campus level.

Identify and manage scheduling conflicts

working with stakeholders to negotiate implementation dates and schedules across IT, Critical Environment, and Facilities teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years experience delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments

o OR 3+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field AND 8+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU), or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling) OR High School Qualification or equivalent AND 10+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU), or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling) OR equivalent experience.

Applicable certifications: APICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CCNA Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications.

Familiarity using CMMS software (Maintenance software).

Understanding energy harvesting.

Experience in change control processes.

Experience in datacenter processes and tooling or related experience.

Data Center Operations Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,800 - $195,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $135,200 - $222,000 per year.
