Job DescriptionAs the Platform Architect for Clinical Medical platforms working in the Enterprise Medical Digital Innovation team, you will own and manage the design and architecture of Takeda’s Clinical and Medical technology solutions within a highly regulated environment. In this role, you will drive Takeda’s Data and Digital mission by developing and adopting clinical and medical technologies that align with business needs, best practices, and enterprise architecture principles.Develop and implement the architectural vision for Enterprise Clinical & Medical platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements and scalability, security, and adherence to enterprise architecture principles and industry best practices.Drive innovation and continuous improvement of Enterprise Clinical & Medical platforms through evaluation and introduction of new platforms, tools, or system integrations according to business demand, prioritize use cases, and enhance the existing technology stack.Work closely with platform teams, product teams, and other BU/BF stakeholders to translate business requirements into architecture standards.Be an active member of Takeda’s Architecture Review Board, setting standards for External Experience technology across the enterprise.Ensure the Enterprise Clinical & Medical solutions and architecture comply with Takeda’s compliance, regulatory, and legal requirements.Enable stakeholders (both within and outside of Takeda) to consume Takeda’s Enterprise Clinical & Medical digital solutions and capabilities.Socialize changes to existing and new capabilities, tools, components, and consumption models to stakeholders (both within and outside of Takeda) to drive adoption and business outcomes.ACCOUNTABILITIESPartner with global and regional stakeholders to understand business strategy and design architecture patterns aligned to business needs.Develop and own the Enterprise Clinical & Medical platforms architecture roadmap driven by enterprise standards, business needs, and strategic imperatives.Enable Platform and Product teams to deliver roadmap initiatives aligned to architecture standards.Drive alignment of proposed solutions according to enterprise architecture standards as well as alignment with security, privacy, and quality standards.Partner with DD&T and business stakeholders to enable the consumption of Enterprise Clinical & Medical technology standards.Act as the SME (tools, features, and architectural consulting, provide insight into industry trends) for all Enterprise Clinical & Medical projects and capabilities in collaboration with various stakeholders.Establish and institutionalize regular end-to-end KPI reviews for solution adoption, and continuous solution improvement process.OTHER DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTSKnowledge of state-of-the-art Clinical and Medical technologies and architecture patterns.Deep understanding of architecture data flows for Clinical and Medical Technologies.Able to engage with all levels of the organization and be proficient at building out clearly defined architecture patterns, diagrams, and strategies taking insights from discussions with stakeholders.Able to communicate and foster alignment across all levels of the organization.Build strong cross-functional relationships with team members in other enterprise functions like System Integrators, Enablement/Digital Leads, and Enterprise & Solution Architects.Strong ability to build external partnerships with industry partners and suppliers.Able to generate breakthrough architecture strategies and enable others to do so.Day-to-day decisions regarding the architecture standards for Enterprise Clinical & Medical digital solutions across Takeda globally.Able to present issues and recommend solutions succinctly to Global, Senior, and Executive Management frequently.Recommend and monitor spending for project budgets.EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:EssentialBachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Digital Marketing related fields or equivalent experience.7+ years of relevant experience implementing Enterprise Clinical & Medical architecture blueprints and models at an enterprise level in a regulated environment.Strong understanding of Enterprise Clinical & Medical architecture patterns.Strong experience in data, digital, and technology architecture processes.Strong understanding of technology architecture KPIs, analytics, and reporting.Strong “soft skills” and English communication skills.Experience of working with global teams and experience of working in international, multi-country, multi-cultural environments.Experience working in a life sciences environment is strongly preferred.Experience working in an agile environment is strongly preferred.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONInternational Travel of up to 10% may be required from this position.More about us:At Takeda, we are transforming patient care through the development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals and best in class patient support programs.
