Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a
Senior IT Project Manager
to join our Corporate IT/Applications team. The Sr. IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning and executing enterprise-wide technology projects of varying complexity from conception through delivery, including successful project definition, evaluation of alternatives, planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource management, project delivery, and post go live stabilization. They will manage all factors that govern project success to ensure high quality delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters. The successful candidate will also be responsible for understanding impact of projects on business processes and facilitating a smooth transition of system and process changes. On some projects, they may be responsible for both project management and business analysis tasks including process mapping, requirements definition, IT testing, oversight of user testing, and end user training. This individual may manage multiple simultaneous projects or have portfolio management responsibilities.
The Sr. IT Project Manager will specifically support the development of the Applications ERP roadmap.
This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work to be based from either Houston or Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Identifies new innovative solutions to optimize business processes, reduce costs, and/or enhance the customer experience.
Gathers and documents requirements for technology initiatives and prepares detailed Project Plans/schedules to meet project delivery goals.
Prepares and maintains the project budget.
Assembles and manages the project team to ensure deliverables remain on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
Manages vendors supporting or executing the project.
Works with technical management and other IT and business resources on project planning, solution design and technical architecture, solution development, implementation, and post go live support/stabilization.
Prepares and maintains all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle and manages project scope by enforcing change control procedures.
Manages project issues and risks with necessary mitigation, escalation and backup plan and prepares project status reports and executive presentations to present process improvement solutions, business case, and project progress.
Defines and presents business cases for proposed projects and follows industry standard SDLC processes in alignment with company SDLC policy including waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, as appropriate.
Assesses impact of projects/systems on business processes and facilitates a smooth transition of system and process changes to ensure minimal business disruption.
Ensures compliance of projects/solutions with key company controls (e.g., Sarbanes Oxley) and works with IT leadership to define the support model for new systems and facilitates transition of the new system from project resources to support resources.
May be responsible for performing business analysis tasks on some projects including process mapping, requirements definition, IT testing, oversight of user testing, and end user training.
May lead evaluation and selection of vendors/solutions including management of proposal/RFP process.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus at least 10 years of hands-on, progressively challenging, IT project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including at least 2 years of leadership experience.
Experience with implementing Oracle ERP solutions, preferably the latest Oracle Cloud technologies.
Well-rounded technical experience with solid understanding of common technologies and solutions, both infrastructure and applications.
Significant experience in all aspects of IT project management from hardware infrastructure through application development and deployment.
Applications/software experience, including management of custom software development and implementation of configured or off-the-shelf solutions.
Experience with IT procurement and vendor relationship management.
Knowledge of PMI’s Project Management methodology and best practices.
Experience managing projects using a variety of SDLC methodologies including Agile/Scrum and waterfall.
Business Analysis experience including process mapping, requirements definition, IT testing, coordination of user testing, and training.
Proficiency in using the full Microsoft Office suite – Project, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Hands-on experience in Project Planning and Management using various tools and techniques.
Experience implementing significant process improvement initiatives.
Proven experience managing enterprise-scale projects of sizeable scope and complexity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
Experience managing a portfolio of projects preferred.
Experience within a consulting or professional services environment.
Experience working in similarly large, complex, global organizations.
