Job Description

At Aperia, we rely on a dynamic team of engineers to solve the many challenges and puzzles of our rapidly evolving technical stack. We’re seeking a QA Engineer to provide automation testing for Aperia’s products. Successful candidates for this role will design and implement QA test plans including automation following the approved QA framework at Aperia. You should be a master's in modern testing techniques and tools, including automation.

Core Responsibilities

Implement a comprehensive test strategy, test plans, and test execution of the product.

Create automation scripts and optimize those scripts.

Evaluate, select, and formulate the best usage of test automation tools and future alignment for different products and applications.

Use the Aperia framework for Functional Automation, Performance Testing and Security and Penetration Testing. Presents technical documentation for review by peers and the Development community.

Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities including test automation, test strategy, test plans, and test execution.

Respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.

Functional Responsibilities

Work hand-in-hand with Aperia scrum teams to resolve technical issues in the product as needed.

Lead regression testing based on technical analysis, complexity, and reusability.

Troubleshoot issues in existing applications when needed and communicate investigation outcomes for sponsors, project leaders, and clients.

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, able to engage with users and stakeholders across disciplines, verbally and in writing.

Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.

Professionalism and ability to use diplomacy in working relationships.

Ability to interact with diverse groups of people.

Ability to work well independently, as well as collaboratively, to take initiative, and to maintain productivity under pressure.

Endorse Aperia’s agile test and development methodologies (SDLC) using best practices in Scrum, TDD, BDD, Git, Jira, etc.

Collaborate across time zones via Teams, SharePoint, GitHub comments, documents, and attend frequent video conferences.

Communicate relentlessly with team, manager, leadership, and sponsors to ensure transparency.

Effectively work on multiple concurrent projects and with multiple competing priorities.

Propagate an environment of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Technical Skills

5+ experience in web application testing, including 3+ years in automation.

Proven experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and experience in programming languages like

Java (most preferred) , .NET, C#.

Expert in automation frameworks such as

Selenium and JMeter (most preferred) , JUnit, TestNG, Playwright, and Azure Load Test.

Proven experience in UI and/or API level test automation.

Experience in high volume, high throughput web environment.

Ability with web performance infrastructure (CDNs, caching, reverse-proxies) and cloud resources (Azure).

Experience with high performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic.

Thorough understanding and direct experience in developing and enhancing automation testing frameworks.

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.

Things that will separate you from the rest

Knowledge in security testing, performance testing, performance tuning.

Must be extremely detail and technology oriented and have excellent communications skills.

Experience in collaborating with global teams to lead QA initiatives.
