KBR is seeking an experienced

Database Administrator

to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) efforts related to Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM). This includes maintaining application software, monitoring and troubleshooting issues within the software environment, forecasting and planning for application capacity and demand, in addition to other tasks. As a DBA, the database will be your primary focus, but you will also troubleshoot Java as it relates to other teams and handle scripting and automation needs. Microsoft SQL is primarily what you will work in, with potential for Oracle when collaborating with outside teams.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform daily checks of IT systems, triage, monitor, and work NAVAIR National Help Desk support tickets. Complete Configuration Change Control Board (CCB) requests. Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in an unclassified network environment for applications, databases, integrations, or infrastructure as assigned. Troubleshoot the hardening of database applications in compliance with DoD RMF policies.Support database performance monitoring, including monitoring disk space and resource utilization, capacity, and availability. Advise on and support database interactions for software installation, configuration, and patching. Provide troubleshooting support using application logs and Windows logs. Coordinate outsourced help requests, assist with coordination of Maintenance Scheduling, and license and subscription management. Work well independently and as part of a team. Attend and contribute to Teams collaboration meetings for new requirements, troubleshooting/diagnosis, monitoring, and server-side application support. Document processes and procedures and keep documentation updated. Provide weekend and after-hours support as required.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) plus 4 years experience

OR

12 years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.Clearance & Citizenship:

U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance or clearance eligibility, Single Scope Background Investigation.Certification:

Security+ CE and an OS (Operating System) Certification.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience supporting the DoD community.This position offers a flexible remote working environment.Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 hours/week.Compensation:

$90,000-120,000.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
