SME Computer Scientist - Software

Career development opportunities, including on-the-job training, tuition reimbursement, and networking.A positive work environment where employees are respected, supported, and engaged.Description:Support gathering, vetting, documenting, assigning and tracking of information sharing requirements with traditional/nontraditional mission partners and ensuring the appropriate information is available to the DODIIS enterprise.Provide systems evaluation, design, development and/or implementation as required to support information sharing requirements.Collect information sharing requirements within the USCENTCOM AOR, participate in the development of information sharing strategies and monitor the development and/or implementation of tools supporting information sharing.Must be effective communicators with senior managers and will be required to develop/present briefings/materials to stakeholders ranging from information sharing requirements to technical descriptions of applicable tools.Required to develop prioritized spend plans for development of info sharing capabilities.Specific tasks include regular information exchange and/or status meetings with stakeholders to include other combatant commands, the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense Intelligence (OUSDI), the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), the DOD Joint Staff (JS), the Department of Army Intelligence Information Services (DAIIS) organization and other DOD/IC agencies as required to support the information sharing mission.May be given the option to work from alternate locations as approved by the government.Support J2 Government/Military and SME requests for information which can be obtained from general open sources (i.e. Internet, academic institutions, public institutions, etc.).Coordinate with the CENTCOM user community in defining their information sharing requirements.Assist in the migration planning for systems being deactivated.Investigate/assign requirements to program stakeholders.Track/participate in system design efforts for new information sharing systems coming on board.Track the development of new systems in the IC and DOD to inform J21 technical leadership of external capabilities being developed which could benefit the USCENTCOM information sharing mission.Track requirements satisfaction, collect and communicate customer requirements.Monitor computer software tools/systems (to include the Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE), Automated Information Discovery Environment (AIDE), Protected Internet eXchange (PiX), the All Partners Access Network (APAN), the RED DOT Improvised Explosive Device (IED) alert reporting system, and others as required).Develop/provide technical orientation/status presentations.Interface with senior managers at various peer and national level organizations to advocate for the use and funding of the USCENTCOM Information Sharing program.Support USCENTCOM J2 leadership as required to obtain Information Sharing program funding.Job RequirementsDesired experience:10 years of experience working in the Department of Defense (DOD)/Intelligence Community (IC) to include a minimum of five (5) years of experience in data/systems management, and two (2) years of experience working for/in the US Central Command (USCENTCOM) AOR as a field staff officer/senior NCO, and one (1) year experience in a consulting/advisory position.Ability to support decision-makers in developing strategic plans, identifying funding sources, and providing technical support in meeting organizational goals regarding USCENTCOM information sharing products and services.Understanding of field level joint operating centers and an ability to liaison with field organizations.Ability to analyze, record, and vet customer requirements.Ability to research data sources and infrastructure within the Intelligence Community.Ability to identify potential conflicts with development using USCENTCOM information sharing products and services.Ability to analyze and provide recommendations for system architectures, analysis processes, third party applications and operator interfaces.Ability to serve as a field level user advocate within the USCENTCOM system development process for current and future processes and product improvement.Desired education:Desired master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.Security Clearance:Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.Location:USCENTCOM HQ, MacDill AFB, FloridaPrescient Edge is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) founded as a counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) company in 2008.
