THE ROLE: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Software Engineer , as a member of theSoftwareEngineering Team; they will architect, design, develop and test Java software applications. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met. Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.Minimum 1 years of experience in a commercial software development related fieldHands-on experience in developing software applicationsStrong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, and/or C++), preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform developing Systems softwareSolid understanding of data structures and algorithmsAbility to communicate effectively in writing, orally with both local and remote sitesAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standardsDemonstrated experience working with cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Online distributed systems, real-time systems, platform infrastructure design and implementationMiddleware software solutions design, development and integrationWeb services (REST/SOAP), UNIX, OO modeling and design patternsMulti-threaded/concurrent application development in large scale high availability systemsCode reviews and Unit testingSQL Database experienceContinuous integration and deploymentMission critical services or services operating in a 24x7 environmentDemonstrated experience in several, complete, large-scale projectsAgile development processes
Day In The Life
In this role, the working environment is a standard office environment. Standard hours are 40 hours per week and the position may be performed remotely or in-person.

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
Salary Range
$71,000.00 - $113,500.00
