link/button.GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION:The Reporting & Data Analytics Office is seeking a skilled programmer proficient in SQL and PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex SQL and PL/SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources. The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective data solutions using Argos and Tableau. This role will also play a key role in data governance, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security within the organization. Strong programming and analytical skills as well as attention to detail are essential for success in this role. The position requires a high amount of independent technical work and ongoing communication with the Associate Vice President of Reporting & Data Analytics.Job Duties

PROGRAMMING RESPONSIBILITIESThis role requires expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming languages, as well as a deep understanding of relational databases within Banner and data modeling concepts.Write and maintain SQL and PL/SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various sources to satisfy internal, state, and federal reporting requirements.Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reporting contents within Argos and Tableau.Design and optimize database queries and procedures to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing for reporting purposes.Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reports produced for internal, state, and federal agencies.Stay informed about changes in reporting regulations and requirements at the state and federal levels and update reporting processes accordingly. Ensures that all reports and generated output are delivered with accuracy and by the established deadline.Provide technical support and training to end-users on report generation tools, such as Argos and Tableau, and techniques to facilitate self-service reporting capabilities.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, report accuracy, and performance to maintain compliance with reporting requirements.Document reporting processes, procedures, and technical specifications to ensure clarity and consistency in report development and maintenance.COMMUNICATIONStrong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effectively interacting with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality reporting solutions that meet business needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including academic departments, and administrative units, to integrate data science solutions into institutional workflows and systems, fostering a data-driven culture.Work cooperatively and effectively with other college staff members, faculty and administration.Practice excellent customer service in their daily interaction with stakeholders.GENERALAbility to work within strict deadlines. Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.Assumes responsibility for special assignments initiated by the administration or our stakeholders.Adheres to all policies, procedures, and laws governing the employees of the institution.Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Reporting & Data Analytics.Mandatory Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming with a minimum of three years of programming work experience OR Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming.Relevant coursework or significant work experience programming using SQL and/or PL/SQL.Experience writing SQL and PL/SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.Excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrates the ability to communicate complex findings in a concise manner.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Desirable Qualifications
