If so, let's talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWe're seeking a strategic and experienced Developer Relations Marketing Leader to build and execute our developer marketing strategy across the United States. This role combines technical knowledge, marketing expertise, and community leadership to drive developer adoption and engagement with our platform. At IBM, we understand the importance of flexibility, so this is a hybrid role requiring 3-days a week in the office.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive developer marketing strategies that align with our business objectives and developer journey needs.Act as core SME in the optimization of developer-focused content, including technical documentation, tutorials, sample code, and thought leadership materials.Build and maintain relationships with key developer communities, influencers, and technical decision-makers.Design and implement metrics-driven programs to increase developer adoption, engagement, and retention.Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and technical accuracy.Support execution of developer-focused events, workshops, and webinars.Work with a team of developer advocates and technical content creators.Track and analyze program metrics to optimize performance and demonstrate ROI.About you:Generalist Product Marketer with Developer Empathy: Versatile and empathetic, with a strong understanding of developers' needs and pain points.Enthusiastic About AI/ML-Focused Products: Passionate about working on cutting-edge AI/ML products and solving related technical challenges.Developer-First Mindset: Dedicated to building marketing experiences that prioritize the developer experience.Adoption and Accessibility Advocate: Committed not only to building tools but also to ensuring they are accessible and widely adopted.Product and Technical Ownership: Possesses a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for both the product and its technical aspects.Required Technical and Professional Expertise3+ years of experience in developer relations, developer marketing, or technical marketing roles.Proven track record of building and scaling developer programs at a technology company.Strong technical background with hands-on software development experience.Excellence in both written and verbal technical communication.Deep understanding of developer ecosystems, tools, and communities.Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseExperience in user journey mapping and persona development.Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development lifecycles.Knowledge of the AI ecosystem and global developer communities.Experience with marketing automation and analytics tools.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field; MBA is a plus.Location StatementThis position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role.IBM will not be providing visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
