The Senior Solutions Architect (Collaboration) is a presales engineering role responsible for supporting regional sales efforts by developing enterprise technology solutions for our clients. This role requires wide exposure to and understanding of key systems and networking technologies, as well as special expertise in collaboration technologies. Candidates for this role should have a deep commitment to customer success with measurable outcomes.

YOUR IMPACTThe Senior Solutions Architect provides senior-level Sales Engineering support through the creation of technical solutions that may consist of hardware and software products, professional consulting and engineering services, managed services and staffing.

Meeting with customers to assess business needs and solution requirements

Explanation of solution architectures via whiteboarding, presentations and client interaction

Creation of complex product solution configurations and associated Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Detailed scoping of professional services engagements and creation of Statements of Work (SOWs)

Involvement with professional services projects and managed service onboarding processes

Assisting with customer satisfaction issues, technical problems and case escalation as needed

Maintaining relationships with manufacturer engineers to stay current on product capabilities and to collaborate on customer solutions as necessary

Attend training and technical conferences to support ePlus partner relationships and to stay current on technology industry trends

Maintaining key manufacturer certifications related to personal technical specializations as well as company partner requirements

Serve as thought leader in areas of technical specialization, supporting and mentoring other engineers and account executives as needed

Job Knowledge/Skills:

Professional demeanor with persistent customer service focus

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

Skill with consultative sales methods - able to engage in active listening and meaningful lines of questioning to get client to identify areas of opportunity

Ability to manage multiple priorities with numerous daily demands for your time

Conversant with the following technologies:

IP networking, especially QoS

Security fundamentals

Modern application architectures

Major operating system families – Windows, Linux or Unix

Host virtualization – VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V or RedHat KVM

Public cloud fundamentals – Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform

Collaboration-specific knowledge – should be subject matter expert level in at least 3 of the following:

VOIP Calling

Microsoft Teams Calling including Teams PBX, Calling Plan, Direct Routing via third-party UCaaS and CUCM integrations, Hosted Direct Routing and Operator Connect

Cisco Webex Calling Multi-Tenant and Dedicated Instance

Cisco Calling and Contact Center licensing EA’s and Subscriptions

CUBE and or Session Border Controller (SBC)

Cisco Premise-based Unified Collaboration Solutions

Contact Center Solutions(Cloud and On-Prem)

e911 solutions

Audio Visual/Video Conferencing

Zoom Phone, Zoom Meetings, Zoom Rooms including Zoom licensing

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in related technology and 5+ years of experience providing pre-sales engineering support designing complex Collaboration solutions

Multiple industry-recognized certifications, e.g., CCIE, VCP, CISSP, etc.

POSITION SPECIFICSThe base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $170,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
