AssetWorks is seeking an IT Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the organization's internal IT operations including datacenter infrastructure (servers, networking and storage) in a colocation data center, virtualized environments, patch management, VPN management, data security, disaster recovery, software and hardware supplier management and workstation support. This role involves leading a team of analysts and support personnel ensuring highly reliable IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills.Responsibilities:Develop and implement IT management strategies, policies and procedures aligned with company goals and business objectives.Oversee application and infrastructure architecture, design, deployment and management.Manage IT hardware and software vendors.Ensure the security of the company’s IT systems, data, and assets. Implement and monitor compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulations.Lead the development and test of robust operational security practices, incident response procedures and disaster recovery plans.Build and lead a high-performing IT services team, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.Develop and implement data governance processes, including data security, privacy, and compliance.Monitor application, virtualization environments and underlying infrastructure identifying opportunities for optimization.Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including system upgrades, hardware and software installations, and technology migrations.Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and industry best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.Proven experience (5+ years) in IT management, preferably in a similar industry.Strong technical expertise in hardware and software acquisition, support & management.Experience with Oracle, VMWare, Cisco and Dell infrastructure.Solid understanding of IT project management principles.Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors/master’s degree in a relevant field.Experience in managing security compliance, including the implementation and maintenance of security measures to uphold SOC2 and ISO 27001 standards.Conversant with network management and the broader network ecosystem.Experience with Mobile Device Management.Experience in penetration testing, IT security planning and incident response.Certifications in data management and IT Security.
