PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:Maintain the Technical integrity of all Data (WANs/LANs/MANs, and Low speed data), voice (PBX, voice Mail, conference bridges, radio network - PTP, MAS, VHF, & UHF) networks, Video Conferencing, and IXC, LEC and CLEC problem resolution. Has a high degree of technical expertise in most area of infrastructure. Technical integrity will include installation, scheduled maintenance, and problem resolution of all telecommunications equipment and networks within a given geographical area. Position will act as lead person for various activities and serve as a direct customer interface for the IT process.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Installs, maintains, repairs and operates infrastructure within the network, such as but not limited to:Telephone systems; PBX, hybrid key systems and non-KSU systemsVoice processing and Computerized telephone technologyMicrowave radio equipmentVHF/UHF radio equipment, Mobile Cellular Phones, and paging infrastructureVideo teleconferencing equipmentUPS systems/AC and DC systemsOther company electronic equipment as needed and/or when requestedFunctions as PBX and phone mail administratorWorks closely with telephone company and other company personnel to install and repair telephone circuitsWorks with coordinator for telecommunications capital projectsAssures that company microwave and radio system operates within the guidelines set forth by the Federal Communications CommissionProvides electronic technical support for company engineering and other departmentsAssists in the operation and repair of company SCADA and electronic measurement systemsWorks with Central Network personnel configuring routers, hubs, and channel banksBuilding infrastructure cabling systems, both fiber and metallic mediums.Qualifications
Cisco and Avaya CertificationsUnderstand OSI seven Layer modelUnderstand various network protocolsPossess basic computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Professional Office Suite productsUnderstands and complies with all OSHA and company safety regulations
