Project Engineer

Jordan Company is seeking a full-time Project Engineer in the Raleigh, North Carolina area with commercial construction experience. Project Engineers work closely with subcontractors and suppliers and all members of the project team to form an effective management team for our clients.Duties and Responsibilities :Be an advocate in application on W. M. Jordan’s Safety and Health Management Program.Collaborate with Project Manager and Superintendent in the application of company processes and project operations.Organize and manage submittal processes (log development, processing, etc.).Manage project coordination with all project trade partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.Coordinate material delivery requirements with superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers.Initiate, research, and track Requests for Information (RFI’s).Field questions from subcontractors and suppliers relative to shop drawings and contract requirements.Manage various document control methods such as submittal logs, material procurement logs, RFI logs, contract documents (field and electronic copies).Assist with Lean processes implemented on projects.Participate in and/or facilitate jobsite progress meetings to include documenting minutes.Organize and manage project closure requirements (Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Owner Training, Attic Stock and Warranties).Participate in development and updating or maintaining of the project schedule as delegated by project manager.Assist with proposal management (research, follow-up) as delegated by project manager.Participation in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks.Qualifications and Experience:Experience as a commercial construction Project Engineer.Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, OR two (2) years commercial construction experience preferred.OSHA training preferred.Ability to read and understand technical specifications and architectural drawings.Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam and various scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Phoenix).Experience with Building Information Modeling.Excellent listening skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.Active participant in a team environment.We offer our full-time employees a competitive salary and a generous benefits package.W.
