Are you a data-driven product leader with experience launching disruptive software products?The Alexa AI team is developing innovative Generative-AI solutions to make Alexa a trusted assistant that helps customers daily.As Principal Product Manager Tech for the Alexa AI team you will:Define and drive customer-facing features for Alexa including advanced Conversational AI features with a high bar on responsible application of technology.Create advanced features out of technical innovations.Drive clarity out of ambiguity, communicate a clear vision and align others to execute on your thoughtful requirements.Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.Work closely with science, engineering, UX/design, business development, legal, and internal and external partner organizations.Partner with other Amazon teams.Key Job Responsibilities
This is a horizontal product role spanning multiple delivery orgs in a functional product team. This team is central to delivery of a Generative AI-based service at a high quality bar. The right candidate will possess an understanding of engaging with science and engineering teams to deliver foundational technologies and customer experience at a high quality bar.A Day in the Life
Cut through ambiguity, apply mechanisms, deliver requirements and engage deeply with science, engineering, feature, and UX teams to deliver bar raising customer experiences. Ultimately, you own the customer experience, with customer satisfaction as your ultimate success measure. You will engage with science and engineering teams daily, and update senior leadership on progress weekly. This is a high velocity, high ambiguity problem space, scrappiness and ability to drive teams with clarity will allow for success.About the Team
We are a functional team of product leaders (with some TPM, data science, and BI support) that spans critical areas of the Alexa product experience. We ensure our overall Alexa experience is consistently meeting a high customer bar.Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.Bachelor's degree.Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.Experience with end to end product delivery.Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.Experience in technical product management.Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority.Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
