This facility designs, engineers, and manufactures industrial-sized pumps that sustainably move and treat water for industrial and municipal customers. You will analyze, organize, and configure the application of centrifugal pumps to conform to customer requirements of a complex nature. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business making a positive impact on the world and work on a highly collaborative team, with significant opportunity for internal growth and development.Once fully onboarded, you can work a hybrid work schedule (3 days/week on-site in Kansas City, KS).You will:Design and configure custom quotations to meet customer specifications & requirements.Review & interpret rotating equipment and pump requirements, engineering calculations, materials of construction, special requirements, pricing, replacement & interchangeability, and system design & evaluation.Provide technical information on product performance, auxiliary equipment needed, installation requirements, pricing estimates, instruction manuals, and delivery schedules as it relates to project specification and order processing.Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, supply, engineering firms, and end-users to ensure projects successfully make it to the bid-phase.Assist in product training to internal personnel and/or field sales and assist in product presentations to customers or distributors.Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%) for customer site visits or business meetings and trainings.Key Qualifications:Have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field. Candidates with an associate's degree (A.S.) and relevant work experience will be considered.Experience with or knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, such as pumps, motors, valves, hydraulic systems, fluid handling systems, or rotating equipment.Ability to read technical schematics and plans, such as CAD drawings and bills of materials, to understand component level operations/function.Self-motivated, advanced problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and mechanical skills.Proven ability to communicate professionally with individuals both within and outside an organization.Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
