Cyber Security Engineer
to join our team in the Springfield, VA. area.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design, implement and maintain complex systems and infrastructure that support business objectivesDevelop and maintain system architecture and design documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our systems and infrastructure meet security, scalability, and performance requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including performance and availability problemsPlan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrationsDevelop and maintain disaster recovery plans and proceduresDevelop and implement system monitoring and alerting strategiesMentor and train junior team membersStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trendsBasic Qualifications:3+ years of experience in systems engineeringStrong understanding of system architecture and design principlesStrong experience in Network engineering (TCP/IP, LAN and WAN).Experience with VMWare infrastructure. vCenter and ESXi configuration and maintenance.Experience with Vulnerability management such as scanning, vulnerability reviews, and mitigation.Experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformFamiliarity with Elastic to include Logstash and Kibana conceptsStrong experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systemsExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker or KubernetesExperience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or PuppetStrong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAssociate degree in computer science, Engineering, or technical fieldSecurity Clearance Requirements:TS/SCI w/PolyPhysical Requirements:Capable of travel to customer sites (CONUS and OCONUS)Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printerThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
