Network Systems Engineer
to join our team in supporting the RCCTO.The Weapons Analysis & Innovation group has an immediate need for an individual contributor to assist sustainment and modernization efforts involving a rapidly developed Army Ground Launch System. Primary duty is to serve as a Network Systems Engineer for the Program Executive Office – Missiles and Space Mid-Range Capability Project Office (MRCPO), which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army’s Mid-Range Missile capability. The Network Systems Engineer is responsible for advising the MRCPO in the design, development, fielding, and modernization of the Battery Operation Center (BOC) as part of the Army Mid-Range Capability.Your day-to-day work will include:Supporting the development, prototyping, modernization, testing, and evaluation of BOC Network Systems software and hardware and support the integration and test events of the Mid-Range Capabilities.Providing systems engineering & integration support for weapons system network.Developing network diagrams to include modernization efforts and network additions for added hardware.Reviewing and defining system requirements.Reviewing and evaluating system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages.Interfacing with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system design.Developing and presenting briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within DoD and the Federal Government.Assisting in managing technical requirements, and risk for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Army’s Long Range Precision Fires priority to field an experimental prototype battery with residual combat capability in support of Multi-Domain Operations.Assisting with the systems architecture and federated integration of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) in the BOC.At a minimum you should have the following:Active Secret Clearance/with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 12 months, if needed.A bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 10-15 years of relevant experience.Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Office.Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.Experience in network/IP configurations management.Ability to work on-site.10 years of experience supporting engineering for weapon systems.Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition program office or OEM.Demonstrated knowledge and application of systems engineering and requirements analysis.Successful missile system fire direction and power systems development experience.Demonstrated experience with System Requirements Design Reviews.You will be highly desirable if you have:Master’s Degree in Engineering.Successful technical missile system fire direction and power systems development experience with Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS).Experience with fielded DoD internet terminal systems (Starlink, SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP), T2Network Systems).Knowledge of system interface requirements and requirements management as well as techniques to drive system behaviors.Experience preparing briefings and documentation.Familiar with conducting reviews of entrance and exit criteria.Work Type : On-Site (Redstone Arsenal, AL)Estimated Salary : $110,000 - $130,000The provided salary range serves as a broad reference.
